There are two things that never seem to age well: milk left in the sun and Nancy Pelosi holding a microphone. While a growing number of elderly Democrats are finally packing their bags and leaving the swamp, Pelosi—straight outta the People’s Republic of San Francisco—is still clinging to power like it’s a vintage bottle of Napa Valley cabernet. And judging by her latest performance at a “Cost of Living Week of Action” event, that grip might be slipping… literally and figuratively.
Now, the event was supposed to be a platform for Pelosi and her fellow Democrats to complain about President Trump’s tariffs and economic policies. You know, the ones that actually brought back manufacturing jobs, pressured China, and gave the working class a shot in the arm. But instead of discussing real issues, we were treated to another episode of “Weekend at Nancy’s.”
Pelosi wandered into the press conference like she had just been woken up from a nap at the Capitol Hill nursing home. She started mumbling something that resembled words, but even her microphone wasn’t sure where she was going with it. A staffer had to step in and adjust the mic mid-ramble while Pelosi stared into space like she was waiting for someone to bring her a teleprompter and a warm cup of chamomile tea.

It got worse. She slurred through her speech, awkwardly praising small businesses (which her party loves to regulate to death) and taking potshots at President Trump. Of course, Democrats always have to mention Trump. He lives in their heads rent-free and builds condos there. But let’s be real—if you’re going to attack someone’s economic record, maybe don’t do it while your own party is presiding over sky-high inflation, empty shelves, and a tax code written by people who apparently hate success.
This isn’t Pelosi’s first senior moment. She’s been freezing up, slurring, and fumbling on live TV for years. And let’s not forget her hip fracture in Luxembourg last December. That fall landed her in the hospital and should’ve been a giant red flag. Instead, she’s running for re-election in 2026, because apparently 80-something isn’t old enough to call it a career in D.C.
It’s past time for congressional term limits. Americans shouldn’t have to watch their leaders deteriorate in real time on C-SPAN. Pelosi’s latest press conference wasn’t just embarrassing—it was a glaring reminder that some politicians will hold onto power until someone pries it out of their trembling hands.
