Well, it looks like President Trump is out here doing what he does best — delivering justice, cutting through the nonsense, and showing that common sense isn’t extinct in America just yet. On Tuesday, President Trump announced that he’ll be granting full pardons to Todd and Julie Chrisley — stars of the reality show “Chrisley Knows Best,” who’ve been caught up in what smells a whole lot like another overzealous federal prosecution.
Let’s rewind a bit. Back in 2022, the Chrisleys were convicted of defrauding banks in Atlanta to the tune of $30 million. Todd got slapped with 12 years in prison, and Julie got 7. Now, I’m not saying they were perfect — but when the Biden DOJ has been weaponized like a banana republic’s Ministry of Justice, it’s not exactly shocking when conservative or high-profile figures end up with cartoonishly long sentences.
Their attorney, Jay Surgent, said earlier this year that the couple believed President Trump would give their case a serious look. And boy, did he. He called their daughter, Savannah Chrisley, directly and gave her the news: “Your parents are going to be free and clean and I hope we can do it by tomorrow,” he told her. “I don’t know them but give them my regards and wish them a good life.”
Now compare that to Joe Biden, who can barely remember who he’s talking to, let alone take the time to talk to everyday Americans (or in this case, reality TV stars who got steamrolled by a justice system that’s anything but just). President Trump looked at the facts, saw the excessive punishment, and decided — as only he can — to do something about it.
Let’s be honest, if the Chrisleys were on Netflix preaching about climate change or gender identity, MSNBC would be demanding clemency. But because they were successful, Southern, Christian, and, heaven forbid, pro-Trump, they got treated like cartel leaders. That’s the real scandal here.
President Trump called it out plainly: “They were given a pretty harsh treatment based on what I’m hearing.” And that’s Trump in a nutshell — no-nonsense, justice-first leadership that actually listens to real people.

So the Chrisleys will be heading home soon, and maybe — just maybe — the rest of America can start to believe that fairness still has a fighting chance with Trump back in the picture.
