If there was any doubt that Democrats have completely lost their grip, President Trump’s first address to Congress in his second term erased it. From the moment he stepped to the podium Tuesday night, Democrats booed, interrupted, and generally made fools of themselves—all because Trump had the audacity to celebrate his administration’s early successes.
It was beautiful to watch.
One of the best moments of the night came when Trump proudly declared that America is “woke no longer”—a direct reference to his administration’s dismantling of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs across federal agencies. The camera cut to Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who looked like she had just watched someone throw her favorite Karl Marx book into a bonfire. The horror on her face? Priceless.
The first major disruption came from none other than Rep. Al Green (D-TX), who decided to make a spectacle of himself by shouting over the President like an unhinged protester at a college sit-in. Speaker Mike Johnson wasn’t having it, and within minutes, the Sergeant-at-Arms escorted Green out of the chamber. Imagine getting elected to Congress, only to get yourself kicked out of your own workplace because you can’t control your emotions. Pathetic.
But the night’s most hilarious meltdown belonged to Nancy Pelosi. You’d think that after all these years, she’d be used to Trump completely owning her on the national stage—but no. The former Speaker looked like she was having a medical emergency when Trump called on Republicans and Democrats to unite for the good of the country.
Trump: “So, Democrats sitting before me, for just this one night, why not join us in celebrating so many incredible wins for America? For the good of our nation, let’s work together, and let’s truly Make America Great Again.”
Pelosi’s absolute disgust at the idea of making America great again was chef’s kiss perfect. You could practically see the steam coming out of her ears.
And just when you thought their rage had peaked, Trump delivered the knockout punch:
“We’re not going to put up with transgenders stealing women’s sports any longer.”
Cue the outrage. Pelosi, Omar, and the rest of the woke brigade were fuming. Too bad for them—Trump is just getting started.
