It looks like Kamala Harris’s campaign just hit rock bottom—and it might not be coming back up. This week, she sat down with Bret Baier for what was supposed to be a serious, prime-time interview. But, instead of proving herself as a capable leader, Harris gave us all front-row seats to a complete meltdown. And when I say meltdown, I’m talking about a full-on implosion.
Now, this isn’t one of those cushy, friendly interviews she’s used to, where the questions are about as tough as a marshmallow. This was Fox News, and Bret Baier didn’t hold back. He hit her with the cold, hard facts: “More than 70% of people tell the country is on the wrong track. They say the country is on the wrong track. If it’s on the wrong track, that track follows 3.5 years of you being Vice President and President Biden being President. That is what they are saying! 79% of them. Why are they saying that if you’re turning the page, you’ve been in office for 3.5 years.” Kamala’s response? Blame Trump. Yep, you heard that right. Faced with her own dismal record, all she could muster was to bring up her favorite boogeyman, Donald Trump.
It gets better. Baier shot back with a reminder that she’s the one in office. But instead of addressing that inconvenient fact, Harris went for her trademark awkward laugh and then blurted out, “Come on, you and I both know what I’m talking about.” Do we, Kamala? Because Baier—and the rest of America—clearly didn’t. She couldn’t even explain what she meant, and Baier wasn’t about to let her off the hook. He shut her down with a simple, “Actually, I don’t. What are you talking about… you’re the one in power.”
Baier: More than 70% of Americans say the country is on the wrong track. If you're turning the page, you've been in office for 3.5 years

And there it was—the moment Kamala Harris realized she had absolutely nothing to stand on. No policy achievements, no solutions, just empty talking points and finger-pointing. It’s one thing to be unprepared; it’s another to completely crumble when faced with the truth. Harris might as well have had a blinking neon sign over her head reading, “Not Ready for Prime Time.”
For a campaign that desperately needed a win, this was the nail in the coffin. Harris didn’t just fail to defend her record; she exposed herself as someone who can’t handle tough questions or confront the reality of her own failed leadership. So, let’s call it like it is: Kamala Harris’s campaign is over. She just showed America that she’s not ready to lead. If this is what she brings to the table, there’s no way she can expect voters to take her seriously come election time.
