Another day, another radicalized leftist arrested for threatening President Trump. On Tuesday, FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed that Peter Stinson, a former U.S. Coast Guard lieutenant and self-identified member of ANTIFA, has been charged for making serious threats against the former and likely future Commander-in-Chief. And this wasn’t some keyboard warrior looking for attention. Stinson served from 1988 to 2021, trained as a sharpshooter, and even worked as a FEMA instructor. This is someone who had the training to turn dangerous intentions into real consequences.

Court documents reveal that Stinson was using social media to promote violent actions toward Trump. In one especially disturbing post, he said Trump should be “Luigied,” referencing the brutal 2024 slaying of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson. He also floated the idea of using firearms, poison, or knives in a hypothetical plot, and openly debated whether he had the “skills” to go through with it. That’s not political discourse. That’s someone fantasizing about committing political violence.

Then there’s the “8647” code Stinson kept using in his posts—an apparent reference to former FBI Director James Comey’s infamous and cryptic Instagram post. “86” is commonly understood as slang for “eliminate,” and “47” refers to Trump becoming the 47th president. Comey deleted the post after public backlash, but as we can now see, the damage was done. According to Patel, Comey’s message helped inspire a new wave of politically charged threats, with Stinson’s case being the most serious yet.
If the roles were reversed—if a Trump supporter had suggested the same things about Joe Biden—you better believe the media would have gone nuclear. CNN would be wall-to-wall with “threat to democracy” hysteria. But since this came from a card-carrying ANTIFA radical, most outlets can’t even be bothered to cover it.
This isn’t an isolated case, either. In Massachusetts, 51-year-old Justin Gaglio just pleaded guilty to flooding an elected official’s inbox with over 80 threats, including against that official’s wife and grandchild. And just days ago in Minnesota, state Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband were targeted and lost their lives in what authorities now describe as a politically motivated attack. State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife were also critically injured in the same incident. The suspect, Vance Luther Boelter, was caught after a multi-day manhunt.
The truth is, the radical left isn’t just shouting from the sidelines anymore—they’re acting. And when political violence is excused or inspired by people like James Comey, it’s not just dangerous—it’s a national crisis.
