Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson Gets Torched by Her Own Liberal Colleague

Well, the robes are rustling over at the U.S. Supreme Court, and not because of the law books. Liberal justices are at each other’s throats, and it’s all thanks to another win for President Trump. You’d think they’d be used to this by now, but apparently, watching Trump steamroll bureaucracy still riles up the left enough to bicker in public.

So here’s what happened: The Supreme Court just ruled 8-1 that President Trump has broad authority to move forward with layoffs of thousands of federal workers. This wasn’t some broad stroke about the legality of the layoffs themselves, but rather a decision on whether the firings need to be micromanaged by the Merit Systems Protection Board—the same bureaucratic labyrinth designed to make it nearly impossible to fire anyone with a government badge and a pension plan.

Now, here’s the kicker. The only justice who couldn’t get on board with the majority? Ketanji Brown Jackson. She was so outraged that she penned a dissent that was less about the law and more about political theater. In her view, Trump’s move caused “harmful upheaval,” and she scolded the Court for letting the layoffs happen while lower courts sort out the technicalities.

Enter Justice Sonia Sotomayor, who—believe it or not—decided she’d had enough of Jackson’s antics. Sotomayor actually rebuked her liberal colleague in a concurring opinion, making it clear that Jackson was the one breaking with legal norms. Basically, Sotomayor told Jackson, “This isn’t your protest rally; we’re doing constitutional law here.”

You don’t see this kind of public scolding often. But Jackson’s been a magnet for criticism lately, especially after her cringe-inducing dissent in Trump v. CASA, where she tossed in Gen Z zingers like “wait for it” and “full stop.” One of her analogies involved an alien asking, “What good is the Constitution?” You almost expect her to start writing opinions in emoji form next.

Even Justice Amy Coney Barrett, usually measured, couldn’t help but ice Jackson a bit. In her majority opinion, she wrote, “We will not dwell on Justice Jackson’s argument,” because it flies in the face of “more than two centuries worth of precedent.” That’s Supreme Court speak for “sit down.”

Let’s not forget, Jackson wasn’t picked for her judicial brilliance. She was chosen by Biden to fulfill a race and gender quota, plain and simple. He said it out loud. The result? A justice more interested in woke storytelling than sticking to the Constitution.

Meanwhile, President Trump keeps racking up wins and tearing down the bloated administrative state. That’s the real story here—and the reason the left is losing its mind.
