Joe Biden Gets Brutal Campaign News

In the latest twist that’s as surprising as finding out water is wet, Joe Biden’s economic policies, affectionately dubbed “Bidenomics” by the man himself, are facing the kind of scrutiny usually reserved for a high schooler’s questionable fashion choices. Bidenomics is about as popular as a diet plan at a barbecue competition.

The U.S. Labor Department, in what I can only assume was an attempt to give everyone a good scare, released its monthly inflation data showing consumer prices shooting up faster than my blood pressure during election season. We’re talking a 3.5% increase in March, folks. That’s higher than what those so-called economists predicted and a jump from February’s 3.2% hike. To quote CNN’s Rahel Solomon, this is “certainly hotter than we were expecting.” Well, Rahel, join the club.

And here’s a fun fact for trivia night – the consumer price index is now prancing around at its highest point since 1913. No, that’s not a typo…1913. Back when people were riding around in Model Ts and probably thought the economy was just splendid. Fast forward to now, and stock futures are as shaky as a leaf in a hurricane while treasury bond yields are climbing faster than a cat being chased by a dog.

Now, Fed Chair Jerome Powell is out here trying to sell us on the dream of a “soft landing” for the economy. But with three straight months of inflation acting like a rebellious teenager, it’s looking more like we’re headed for a crash landing. It’s gotten to the point where the term “Bidenomics” is being used less by the White House and more by Republicans who are having a field day mocking the administration’s struggle to tame the inflation beast.

Let’s not forget our friends, the everyday Americans, who are out here dealing with real-life issues that don’t exactly scream “Bidenomics.” Like feeding their families, educating their children, and trying to make ends meet. According to Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC), these folks don’t deal with economics; they deal with life. And right now, life under Bidenomics is looking about as appetizing as a stale sandwich.

So, as we gear up for another round of political theater, one thing’s clear: Bidenomics might need a rebranding. Maybe something catchy like “Inflategate” or “The Great Price Hike.” Because at this rate, Biden’s economic policies are turning into the kind of blockbuster disaster movie that nobody wants to see.
