Greg Gutfeld Explodes on Jessica Tarlov in Epic Smackdown, Leaves Her Utterly Speechless

Fox News viewers were treated to yet another classic showdown between co-hosts Greg Gutfeld and Jessica Tarlov on The Five, and it’s safe to say that Gutfeld didn’t hold back. In what could only be described as a verbal smackdown, Gutfeld dismantled Tarlov’s feeble defense of birthright citizenship after President Trump’s executive order revoking it for the children of illegal immigrants.

Tarlov, clearly grasping for straws, attempted to frame the debate around legal immigrants, questioning whether Americans actually voted to revoke birthright citizenship for those here on legal visas. Gutfeld, never one to miss an opportunity to expose liberal spin, quickly corrected her.

“I think when Donald Trump was talking about it and disparaging people over here, he was talking about undocumented people who come and drop their anchor babies,” Gutfeld shot back. “He wasn’t talking about people who are students here, people who are on H1-B visas…”

But Gutfeld wasn’t done. “You’re always going to choose this weird exception! The fact is the system is being gamed,” he said, cutting off Tarlov’s weak attempt to blur the lines between legal and illegal immigration.

And he’s right—Americans have had enough of the system being manipulated by leftist loopholes and activist judges. Whether it’s the asylum system, Title IX, or birthright citizenship, voters made their voices loud and clear when they sent Trump back to the White House. As Gutfeld put it, “The entire package is as close as you’re gonna get to what Americans want.”

The fireworks on The Five only underscore the larger battle at play, as Trump’s executive order has already been challenged in court by Democratic state attorneys general who argue the 14th Amendment guarantees automatic citizenship to anyone born on U.S. soil. Never mind that the authors of the amendment never envisioned it being used as a magnet for illegal immigration.

Meanwhile, Trump continues to follow through on his promises, also signing an order terminating Biden-era asylum programs that expanded protections for refugees from Haiti, Nicaragua, and other failing states. Critics rightly argue these programs were never intended to cover individuals fleeing perpetual poverty and dysfunction, but rather those escaping temporary crises such as war and natural disasters.

With Fox News crushing it in the ratings, thanks in part to these fiery exchanges, it’s clear Americans are tuning in for more of Gutfeld’s no-nonsense takedowns and less of Tarlov’s tired talking points.
