Minnesota Democrat Senator Tina Smith must be feeling emboldened now that she’s not seeking re-election in 2026. How else do you explain her public temper tantrum over something so basic, so normal, that it happens in nearly every private sector job every single week?
What was the trigger for her meltdown? Federal employees were asked to report what they actually did at work. Oh, the horror!
It all started when Elon Musk, following President Trump’s directive, announced that federal employees would soon be receiving an email asking them to list what they accomplished over the past week. Sounds reasonable, right? After all, these are government workers paid with taxpayer dollars—is it really too much to ask for a little accountability?
Musk made it clear:

In other words, if you’re a government worker and can’t explain what you do, you don’t need to be there. Makes perfect sense. But to Senator Tina Smith, this was apparently the greatest injustice of our time.
Smith didn’t just object—she completely lost it, unleashing an unhinged tirade on social media. Instead of making a coherent argument (because, let’s be honest, she doesn’t have one), she resorted to straight-up profanity, calling Musk a “d**k” and an “a-hole.”

She doubled down, trying to paint this basic accountability measure as some kind of evil, dystopian oppression of workers:

Really, Tina? So you’re **on the side of federal employees doing who knows what with taxpayer money, but not on the side of actual hardworking Americans who pay for these bloated government salaries?

This over-the-top reaction shows exactly what’s wrong with Democrats. The second someone tries to hold government accountable, they freak out. Why? Maybe because they know that half these agencies are doing nothing but wasting time and money.
The American people deserve answers. And if a federal worker can’t even explain what they do, why are we paying them?
