Ambassador and the self-proclaimed “first woman to win a Republican primary,” managed to snag 63% of the vote against President Trump. Now, before we get too excited, let’s remember that Trump has been cleaning up in every other contest so far, racking up wins by more than 70 points in some states. But hey, a win’s a win, right?
And where did this win take place for Haley? None other than Washington, D.C., the heart of the swamp itself! This is the kind of irony that just writes itself, folks.

Haley’s campaign was quick to celebrate this historic moment on social media. They must have broken out the champagne and everything. But before they got too carried away, the Trump Campaign had a few choice words for them. “While Nikki has been soundly rejected throughout the rest of America, she was just crowned Queen of the Swamp by the lobbyists and DC insiders that want to protect the failed status quo,” they said. Ouch. That’s gotta sting.
Despite her big win in D.C., Haley still has a long way to go if she wants to catch up to Trump. She’s currently sitting at 43 delegates while Trump has a whopping 244. And with Super Tuesday coming up this week, Trump is likely to clinch the Republican Party nomination.
But no worries, Nikki. There’s always next time. Maybe you can try your luck in Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, or Virginia. Who knows? You might just pull another win out of the hat.
