BREAKING: Candace Owens Turns On President Trump

Alright, let’s talk about the absolute circus happening right now with Candace Owens.

In what can only be described as a total faceplant, Candace has decided to turn on President Trump because he wants to stop giving Harvard — yes, Harvard — almost $700 million a year of our tax dollars. Candace says it’s somehow a violation of “free speech.” I mean, really? I have no idea what alternate universe she’s operating in at the moment, but this take is absolutely asinine.

Sorry, Candace. You’ve been sharp on a lot of issues before, but you missed the mark here by a mile. President Trump isn’t “threatening free speech” by cutting federal funding. He’s just finally doing what conservatives have been screaming for decades: stop throwing taxpayer money at elitist, woke indoctrination factories. Harvard doesn’t create free thinkers anymore — it mass-produces brainwashed, self-righteous activists who think America is evil and socialism is salvation.

And let’s not gloss over the insane numbers here. In 2024, Harvard raked in $686 million from the federal government. Meanwhile, Harvard’s endowment — you know, their rainy day fund — was sitting at a jaw-dropping $50.7 billion. Billion with a “B.” That’s bigger than the GDP of a small country. So explain to me why they need one red cent from the American taxpayer?

Here’s the thing: if Harvard wants to be a woke indoctrination camp, go for it. Knock yourself out. But don’t expect hardworking Americans to bankroll it. If you’re so confident that the market supports your little Marxist utopia, then survive on tuition and donations. It’s called the free market, Candace. Maybe you’ve heard of it?

What President Trump is doing is pure common sense. He’s saying, “Hey Harvard, you don’t get to bash America 24/7, celebrate anti-Semitism on campus, and still expect to live off the federal government’s teat.” That’s not censorship. That’s called accountability.

I thought these so-called “elite institutions” were supposed to be self-sustaining. Turns out they’re just as dependent on government handouts as every other leftist cause. Shocker.

And let’s be very clear: even if Harvard flipped tomorrow and became the conservative, Christian institution it originally was (yes, that’s Harvard’s real history, look it up), I still wouldn’t support federal funding. Private universities should not be funded by public dollars. Period.

Candace, I’m not sure what you’re seeing, but it’s not reality. President Trump isn’t suppressing free speech. He’s simply refusing to subsidize it. Big difference. Maybe take a breath, regroup, and join us back here in reality.

Because siding with Harvard over Trump? That’s a losing battle every single time.
