Well, it looks like the party is over for these Chilean burglary gangs. With President Trump back in office, the days of criminals waltzing into America under Biden’s disastrous immigration policies are coming to an end. No more open borders. No more visa loopholes. No more free passes for foreign crime syndicates.
Authorities recently unsealed a criminal complaint detailing a shocking crime spree by Chilean gangs, who, in just the last three months of 2024, stole over $2 million in luxury goods—targeting the homes of high-profile athletes like Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Joe Burrow, Bobby Portis Jr., and Luka Doncic. These criminals exploited Biden’s Homeland Security Visa Waiver Program, a reckless policy that allowed foreign nationals from certain countries (including Chile) to enter the U.S. for up to 90 days with nothing more than a $20 online application and zero real background checks. That’s right—while Biden’s DHS was too busy policing Americans’ social media posts, they were giving criminal gangs a free pass into our country.
Their strategy was almost too easy: Watch TV, see when a famous athlete is playing a game, and break into their mansion. Mahomes’ home in Missouri was hit in early October—Kelce’s the very next night. A Tampa Bay Buccaneers player’s home was looted while his team was playing a game in Tampa. A Milwaukee Bucks player lost nearly $1.5 million worth of valuables when his home was ransacked in early November. These criminals knew exactly when their victims would be away because the NFL and NBA literally broadcast their schedules.
Here’s what Todd Spitzer, the Chief Prosecutor for Orange County, CA said about what he’s calling “the biggest secret in Washington”:

Thankfully, those days are numbered. President Trump and his administration are already working to dismantle these reckless Biden-era loopholes. The Department of Homeland Security, now under Acting Secretary Ken Cuccinelli, is reviewing the entire Visa Waiver Program, and sources inside DHS say the days of criminals abusing it are about to be over.
But let’s not miss the bigger picture. These Chilean gangs aren’t just robbing athletes—they’re everywhere. These are just the cases getting media attention because they involve big names. How many average Americans fell victim to the “Biden Burglary Waiver Program” without their stories making the news? How many criminals slipped through the cracks thanks to the last administration’s weak policies? And how long before one of these burglars finds a wife, child, or grandparent home during a break-in and things take a deadly turn?
Thankfully, President Trump is taking action. Unlike Biden, who let criminals flood into the country, Trump is restoring law and order. Visa loopholes? Getting shut down. Border security? Getting strengthened. Criminals exploiting our system? Not anymore.
Under President Trump, America is no longer open for crime. And for these Chilean gangsters? The free ride is over.
