Karine Jean-Pierre wanted to be the next big voice on The View, but let’s just say… the door didn’t exactly swing open for her. According to a new report, the former White House press secretary under the Biden administration had her sights set on co-hosting the most politically unhinged daytime talk show on television. But after her visit to the show in March, the producers must’ve said, “Thanks, but no thanks.”
Now, after peddling Democratic talking points for years and doing backflips to defend President Biden’s obvious cognitive decline (remember, she once said he was “sharp”?), Jean-Pierre is supposedly turning over a new leaf. She announced this week that she’s ditching the Democratic Party, publishing a tell-all book called Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside Party Lines, and trying out her own brand of post-political self-reinvention. Because nothing says “authentic” like jumping ship the minute the power train derails.
According to Politico, several former Biden administration officials spilled the beans. Jean-Pierre had hoped a flattering media rollout and her appearance on The View would land her a comfy gig on the panel. After all, the show is a reliable safe space for washed-up political operatives looking to stay relevant. But even The View, known for embracing partisan absurdity like it’s a sport, didn’t hand her a chair.
So now, she’s recasting herself as some kind of independent truth-teller. In a video released this week, she told viewers it’s time to “stop thinking in boxes” and not be “so partisan.” Sounds profound… until you remember this is the same woman who spent the last two years calling Republicans racists, extremists, and enemies of democracy every time a microphone showed up. She even called videos of Biden wandering around lost and mumbling to himself “cheap fakes.” It was basically gaslighting on a national scale.
And about that promise that Biden would never pardon Hunter? Surprise! He did. After Jean-Pierre insisted there would be no presidential favoritism, Biden issued a blanket pardon for anything Hunter did in 2024. So much for that “no one is above the law” nonsense.
At the end of the day, Karine Jean-Pierre is just another loyal soldier who cashed out when the political winds shifted. She didn’t get her daytime TV gig, but maybe she’ll find success as a rebranded “independent” who thinks politics is too “partisan” now that her team’s not in charge. Convenient timing, huh?
