Well, the world’s richest man and a 26-year-old conservative influencer are now in the middle of what might be the most high-profile, messy public spat of 2025. Because why not?
On Monday, Elon Musk responded publicly on X to Ashley St. Clair’s claim that he had slashed child support payments for her young son — a child she says Musk fathered. And, because this is Elon Musk we’re talking about, he didn’t exactly hold back.
“I don’t know if the child is mine or not,” Musk posted, “but am not against finding out. No court order is needed.” He then casually dropped the real kicker: “Despite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5 million and am sending her $500k/year.”

Let that sink in. Half a million a year in support without confirmed paternity. In most states, that’s called “platinum-tier generosity.” But to St. Clair, it’s not just about money — it’s about Musk’s alleged control.
Ashley, who lives in a luxury Manhattan apartment reportedly paid for by Musk and just sold her $100,000 Model S Tesla, claimed she had to make the sale to “make up for the 60 percent cut that Elon made to our son’s child support.”
“He slashed it to punish me for speaking out,” she said over the weekend. “That’s his modus operandi — when women speak out.”
She also said she hasn’t spoken to Musk since Valentine’s Day, which, if true, probably adds a little symbolic sting to the whole situation.
St. Clair responded to Musk’s X post swiftly, accusing him of manipulating the situation and trying to silence her.
“Elon, we asked you to confirm paternity through a test before our child (who you named) was even born. You refused,” she said.
“And you weren’t sending me money, you were sending support for your child that you thought was necessary… until you withdrew most of it to maintain control and punish me for ‘disobedience.’ But you’re really only punishing your son.”
She then slammed Musk with a brutal closing line: “America needs you to grow up, you petulant man-child.”

Yikes.
So far, there’s no court ruling, no paternity test results, and no end in sight to the drama. But if anyone thought Elon Musk — with ten kids, rockets to Mars, and now DOGE — didn’t have enough going on, think again.
