Here we go again. Another day, another disgraceful Supreme Court ruling that hands billions of American taxpayer dollars to foreign interests while stomping all over President Trump’s rightful authority. And now, Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY) is saying what every Republican should be saying: Defund USAID. Now.
Let’s get one thing straight—this ruling is an absolute betrayal. The Supreme Court just told the Trump administration that it must immediately fork over $1.9 billion in foreign aid payments. That’s money coming straight out of your pocket, headed overseas to fund who-knows-what in countries that, frankly, don’t even like us.
And just who made this decision? Well, of course, the three radical leftist justices lined up to rubber-stamp this globalist giveaway. But the real gut punch? John Roberts and Amy Coney Barrett—two so-called “conservatives”—jumped ship and sided with the liberals. Again. That gave us a disgraceful 5-4 ruling that forces the administration to keep funding a bloated USAID program that President Trump has been fighting to rein in.
Justice Samuel Alito, to his credit, wasn’t having it. In his fiery dissent, he called out this judicial overreach for what it is:
“Does a single district-court judge who likely lacks jurisdiction have the unchecked power to compel the Government of the United States to pay out (and probably lose forever) 2 billion taxpayer dollars? The answer to that question should be an emphatic ‘No,’ but a majority of this Court apparently thinks otherwise. I am stunned.”
You and me both, Justice Alito.
Now, Massie is stepping up where too many Republicans are silent. He’s demanding immediate action to strip USAID of its funding.
The solution to this problem is obvious: Congress must quit sending the damn money to USAID!
Republicans now control the House and Senate, yet here we are facing a vote on a continuing resolution next week that would fund everything in 2025 as it was funded in 2024. https://t.co/RAMlThyy6x

USAID has long been a globalist slush fund masquerading as humanitarian aid. This year alone, Congress is on track to approve a staggering $66 billion in the International Affairs Budget Authority—money that should be spent securing our border, not propping up foreign bureaucracies. Massie has already taken a stand by voting against the latest bloated spending bill, and now it’s time for the rest of the GOP to follow suit.
The real question is, will Republican leaders have the backbone to act? Or will they keep playing nice while our tax dollars are funneled overseas? If they won’t take action now, they’re just as complicit in the destruction of our sovereignty as the radical left.
