It looks like another so-called Republican is working behind the scenes to sabotage President Trump’s America First agenda—and this time, it’s Senator Tom Cotton. Reports are now emerging that Cotton has been actively trying to block Elbridge Colby, Trump’s pick for Undersecretary of Defense for Policy, from being confirmed by the Senate.
So what’s Cotton’s deal? Why is he going against Trump’s nominee? Well, as Charlie Kirk and other conservatives have pointed out, there seem to be three possible reasons:
- Cotton is a Bush/Cheney-style RINO—a neoconservative dedicated to protecting the swamp at the Pentagon instead of backing Trump’s vision of a stronger, but less interventionist, military.
- Cotton is compromised—whether through blackmail or financial incentives, something is keeping him in line with the establishment.
- Cotton disagrees with Colby’s foreign policy stance—particularly on Iran, where Colby has suggested that preventing a nuclear Iran isn’t necessarily tied to direct U.S. interests.
But here’s where things get really suspicious—Cotton has deep ties to USAID and the International Republican Institute (IRI), two organizations that have been funneling taxpayer dollars into progressive initiatives for years.
Thanks to research from @DataRepublican on X, we now know that Cotton is a director at the IRI, one of eight core NGOs that take in hundreds of millions of dollars from USAID. In fact, IRI alone raked in $130 million last year, much of it straight from the pockets of U.S. taxpayers.
What does IRI do with that money? Among other things:
- Fund refugee resettlement programs (which means more illegal immigrants coming to America).
- Promote progressive, globalist policies under the guise of “democracy-building.”
- Pay for lavish travel and benefits packages ($12 million on travel, $14 million on pensions and perks).
Cotton may not be collecting a direct paycheck from IRI, but he sits on the board of directors, which means he’s helping to push their agenda while taking advantage of the perks.
The RINO Problem and the Need for a MAGA Purge
This is exactly why President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has been digging deep into these corrupt agencies. USAID has been acting as a globalist slush fund for decades, and now we’re seeing how it controls politicians like Cotton and Lindsey Graham—keeping them loyal to the establishment instead of the American people.
Bottom line? Cotton’s real loyalty isn’t to America First. It’s to the neocon deep state, the Bush/Cheney war machine, and the cash flow that keeps their network in power.
Primary season can’t come fast enough. It’s time to clean house.
