The second week of President Trump’s new administration is off to a roaring start, and as expected, it’s sending the left into a full-blown meltdown. Monday’s round of executive orders takes direct aim at the Biden-era woke agenda that weakened the U.S. military and turned it into a social experiment rather than a fighting force. With a focus on restoring strength, discipline, and unity, Trump is making it crystal clear: the military is for warriors, not social justice activists.
First up, President Trump is reinstating a ban on transgender service members, reversing Biden’s 2021 directive that allowed trans-identifying individuals to openly serve. The rationale? Readiness, unit cohesion, and good old-fashioned common sense. A White House memo obtained by the New York Post lays it out bluntly:
“Unit cohesion requires high levels of integrity and stability among service members. There can be no accommodation for anything less than resilience, strength, and the ability to withstand extraordinary physical demands.”
In other words, the military’s job is to defend the nation—not to accommodate pronouns and hormone treatments. The memo also notes the extensive medical care required after transition surgeries, stating that it often takes over a year of recovery with the use of heavy narcotics, which is simply not compatible with military readiness. Makes sense, right? Not to the radical left, who will undoubtedly call it discrimination—but to those who actually care about national defense, it’s long overdue.
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, confirmed in a 50-50 Senate split last week, is tasked with implementing these changes. His orders? No more invented pronouns, no more biological men in female facilities, and a full review of all medical standards to prioritize readiness and lethality. In short, the days of “gender insanity,” as the White House memo calls it, are over.
But it doesn’t stop there. President Trump is also wiping out DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) programs from the military and DHS. The second executive order of the day will put an end to race- and sex-based preferences within the armed forces and the Department of Homeland Security. Gone are the days of divisive trainings and leftist social engineering projects—Trump is bringing the military back to what it was meant to be: focused on winning wars, not checking diversity boxes.
Hegseth and newly confirmed DHS Secretary Kristi Noem are set to lead the charge in purging these programs from every corner of government, from ICE to the TSA.
It’s a new day in America, and President Trump is making sure the military gets back to doing what it does best—defending freedom, not caving to political correctness.
