Things got heated on the House floor Tuesday afternoon when Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) and Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) clashed in an explosive confrontation that exposed just how deep the divide in Congress has become. What started as a typical Oversight Committee hearing quickly turned into a full-blown showdown when Crockett took a cheap shot at Mace over her stance on protecting women’s spaces from biological males.
For context, Mace has been unapologetically vocal about keeping biological males out of women’s bathrooms on Capitol Hill—a common-sense position that somehow ruffles feathers on the left. This became even more relevant after the election of transgender (biological male) Rep. Sarah McBride of Delaware.
