CNN Panel Melts Down After Scott Jennings Exposes Doug Emhoff During Show

Oh boy, things got spicy on CNN the other night when Scott Jennings threw some serious shade at Doug Emhoff, Kamala Harris’ husband. The panel discussion was already fired up when the topic of Eminem’s support for Harris came up—because, apparently, what better way to energize voters than by bringing in a rapper with a history of controversial lyrics about women?

Jennings wasn’t having it. He called out the hypocrisy of fawning over Eminem at a campaign rally, saying, “Everything that’s said about Donald Trump and his treatment of women…” before pivoting to Emhoff himself. And that’s where things really started to go off the rails. Jennings tried to make a point about Emhoff’s past, but the panel wasn’t having it. Abby Phillip jumped in, cutting him off with, “We’re going to stop here for a second.” Ah yes, the good ol’ “we don’t want to talk about that” move.

But Jennings wasn’t about to let it go. He tried to get his point across, saying “If you could just give me 13 seconds…” but the panel was more interested in pivoting back to Trump. Classic media move—ignore the dirt on their own guy and refocus on Trump’s alleged misdeeds. Phillip even said, “I’ll take those concerns seriously if you also express concerns about the allegations he’s been found liable for rаpe.” Okay, but can we maybe talk about both?

Jennings managed to land a zinger despite the chaos, saying, “Celebrities don’t move the needle.” Ouch.

Now, here’s where it gets juicy. Jennings was alluding to some serious allegations against Emhoff that have been bubbling under the surface. According to a report from the DailyMail, Emhoff allegedly slapped an ex-girlfriend during a valet dispute at the Cannes Film Festival in 2012. The ex, known as “Jane,” supposedly dumped him right after the incident. On top of that, there’s a whole other drama about Emhoff allegedly impregnating his children’s nanny and causing her miscarriage. His team, of course, denies all of this.

These accusations are a far cry from Emhoff’s public persona as the champion of women’s rights and fighter against toxic masculinity. If true, they could severely damage his and Harris’ political brand as they head into the 2024 election. Whether the media covers this more widely remains to be seen, but the selective outrage game sure is in full swing. Stay tuned—this story isn’t over yet.
